Un-framed Oak Heartwood, center (heart) of the oak tree with finger-jointed drawers
......And for something completely different.
Very similar to the way dove tale drawer boxes are created, these bespoke kitchens integrate the 'finger joints' of the drawer box into the design of the kitchen.
Instead of adding a drawer front onto the face of the drawer, we select a run of timber and use that section as the front section of the drawer. This can be grain matched across each run of drawers, so that it continues as an unbroken line, up to 6m (depending on which tree and section of tree is selected).
On many of the models in this range, the carcase forms an intrical part of the design. The vertical gables are shared between each set of drawers, rather than each set of drawers having their own pair of gables. This is a subtle design detail which makes our cabinets look so unique.
These kitchens are incredibly time consuming to produce. From personally selecting the timber, plaining the raw material down to a flat workable size and then constructing the bespoke finger joint drawers by hand.
Expect to pay from £2500 per meter for the eco version and from £4000 per meter for the fully bespoke version.
The majority of our clients will select a feature island in this style and then mix in the more economical complementing handleless kitchens to dilute the costs.
